Set of four chairs and two upholstered armchairs, accompanied by a table with two extensions, decorated with ceramic. Massive oak.

Provenance: Particular family of the North of France, circa 1965.

Robert Guillerme is a French designer whose furniture is a reference among the creations of the 1950s and 1970s. Chambron will be a great help thanks to its commercial skills. It is easily possible to recognize the creations of Guillerme thanks to the materials used: the waxed oak, the light shade obtained thanks to a work on the tannin of the wood but also thanks to the darker shades due to iron oxide. The company Your House of the two men has marked the history of French design. Biography Robert Guillerme graduated major of promotion in 1934 from the school Boulle. Particularly brilliant in furniture design and architecture, he joined the Rogie workshops. Jacques Chambron graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Reims and works as a painter and decorator in his own studio. Chambron decided to settle in Lille in 1948. Guillerme and Chambron meet after the war then meet Emile Dariosecq, owner of a cabinetmaking workshop. A year later, they found the company Your House. Created Guillerme, Chambron accompanies customers and Dariosecq workshops manufacture furniture. They quickly meet a great success and produce a variety of furniture. The son of Jacques will take over the estate of the company.
